Dr. Leslie received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology/ Athletic Training in 1993 from West Virginia University. For four years, while at West Virginia University he worked with the sports medicine department providing healthcare to the Division 1 student athletes of the Football, Baseball, Wrestling, Track and Field, and Women’s Tennis teams. Responsibilities included pre-season conditioning, injury prevention, injury assessment, therapeutic treatment, and post injury rehabilitation. He also received internships to Mountainview Rehabilitation Hospital, and Morgantown Physical Therapy Associates providing outpatient care for patients with musculoskeletal injuries, and Cerebral vascular accidents ( stroke). He was the Head Athletic trainer for the 1996 Empire State National Karate Championships.
He is a cum laude graduate of New York Chiropractic College, were he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree in 1996. He had practiced and served as the Administrative Director for over 7 years in a multi-disciplinary setting were Chiropractors, Medical doctors, and Physical therapists work together. Currently, and for the last six years he has been the owner of his Chiropractic home care Corporation serving patients from Nassau and Suffolk County.
He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and the NY State Athletic Trainers Association. He is also a member of the Phi Chi Omega Honorary society. He holds Chiropractic and Athletic Training licenses in New York and New Jersey.
He is an adjunct faculty member at NY College of Health Professions.
He has been selected as one of America's Top Chiropractors' (2006 & 2007) by the Consumers Research Council of America, which is an independent research company based in Washington, DC that evaluates professional services throughout America.
Dr. Leslie also was selected by readers as Best Chiropractor in the Long Island Press Best of 2007 issue.
He is one of only 62 dual credentialed, Chiropractor, and Certified Athletic Trainer in the country.
Less than 1% of all chiropractors are dual licensed as an ATC. ATC's are licensed healthcare professionals who specialize in treating injuries that result from a sports-related or physical activity. They are an integral part of sports medicine teams worldwide.
He is active in the Babylon Lions Club. Which he was presented the "Rookie" of the Year Award for 2005.
